NZ Fringe have a small team who work year round. Keen to join us?

Fringe is hiring box office managers to start training mid Feb and work 5 days per week during the festival (2 to 24 March) to sell tickets and deliver quality accessible information to our audiences and artists from our box offices at Te Auaha on Dixon St, and Midland Park.

The NZ Fringe Festival has a strong kaupapa of career development opportunities for interns with a proven history of follow on paid roles where available and applicable.

We have the following internship roles available:



Feb through March 2018 - manage comps bookings and report at end of festival - approx 3 hours per day from the Fringe office.

The Comps Booking Manager is an office based role for someone with confident communications and computer skills, especially with spreadsheets. This role will build strength in your communications and systems, offer inside intel on the arts and events industry - you’ll definitely get to know who’s who in Wellington arts. You’ll grow your strength in scheduling and time management as you work with the festival team to manage judges and reviewers schedules and all sponsor and staff bookings. You’ll have direct contact with sponsors, reviewers and the Fringe festival judging panel. As a support role at the festival you’ll also help out at Fringe events and get to see lots of shows!

This role reports directly to the Logistics Manager, Artist Liaison and Festival Director.

Mid Feb to end of festival (25 March) flexible hours

These roles are best suited to events management students or similar. With good communication key as you will be training and motivating volunteers. You’ll be coordinating and scheduling the army of Fringe volunteers for tasks across the festival including at our key events. For 2018 this will be a shared role for two people to each take on parts of the the festival that require volunteer assistance and to support each other in delivery of all tasks and volunteer training, you will work together with the events coordinator for peopling festival events. As a support role at the festival you’ll also be required to help out at Fringe events and, you’ll get to see heaps of shows!

These roles report to the Logistics Manager, Event Coordinator and Festival Director.
