Covid-19 information for audiences

Tickets are now on sale at RED with capacities based on social distancing requirements and a cap of 100 in the venue. This will be reviewed in the new year with the plan to release more tickets in the lead up to the festival.

The safety of our audiences, artists, venues, staff and volunteers is paramount. NZ Fringe will continue to adhere to all government guidelines related to Covid-19

Events that are on sale at RED capacity may sell out quickly, we recommend booking early to guarantee your ticket.

If an event you are trying to book tickets to has sold out, email to be added to the waitlist.

Book tickets for your group in one transaction so we can seat your group together if we need to operate with social distancing in place.

On the day

Arrive 20 minutes before the start time, queues may be longer than usual to allow for vaccine checking. Please ensure you have your Vaccine Pass and e-ticket ready when you arrive at the venue to be scanned.

Scan the Covid Tracer QR code on arrival to the venue.

Please do not attend an event if:

  • You feel unwell with symptoms associated with Covid-19 (e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, sneezing, running nose, loss of smell, loss of taste)
  • You have Covid-19 or are waiting on Covid-19 test results
  • You have come into contact with any known or suspected Covid-19 cases in the last 14 days

Refunds due to Covid-19

You will be eligible for a refund if you cannot attend for reasons due to Covid-19. This is a challenging time for our artists with the level of uncertainty Covid-19 brings to their income, so please get in touch at least 4 hours before the event starts so that we can release your ticket to be on-sold. No shows will not be refunded.

If an event you bought tickets to gets cancelled, you will of course be eligible for a refund. The Box Office Team will get in touch with you by email.
