We have been living inside of a shipping container for a week asking questions about repair, life-ness and recycling. Join us in enjoying an ever shifting landscape of wasted materials, language and gestures during this three hour immersive experience.

CROWN SHYNESS

KATE BARBER, VISUAL ARTIST (US) AUDIO ART; OUTDOOR; VISUAL ART

This large scale light projection invites viewers to look up to experience the wonders of the forest, while standing in Wellington’s urban core. The installation highlights ‘Crown Shyness,’ a natural phenomenon observed in tree canopies, and prompts us to reflect, what more can trees teach us?

Elyssa Vulpes is a well-travelled Italian singersongwriter who has performed at various festivals around the world, including the Edinburgh Fringe. From her extensive genre-blending catalogue of original Indie folk compositions, she offers songs of passion, sorrow and transformation shining a light of hope with comedic storytelling.

Laura is an anthropologist, activist, artist, and Slut. She is part of a worldwide community of “Ethical Sluts” challenging the status quo by living empowering – if occasionally seedy – nonmonogamous lives. In Slut Songs, Laura shares clever raunchy sex-positive songs. You’ll laugh, learn, and (possibly!) want to do her.
