The Doubtful Sounds Go Underground

The Doubtful Sounds

Wellington's Funkiest choir, The Doubtful Sounds goes below ground to perform in Wrights Hill Fortress. The Second World War gun emplacement, used courtesy of The Wrights Hill Fortress Restoration Society is a series of underground chambers connected by over a kilometre of tunnels. Lead by Maestro and evening radio host, Bryan Crump, the Doubtful Sounds will perform a range of classical and popular tunes which make the most of the site's unique acoustic, as well as recognising its military history.  There's also a nod towards the future with special guests, Te Arokura, the much loved childrens choir from Wellington's Te Aro School.
